If you have received an email with an open query for you to review, just click on the case name in the email to access the case (you may need to log-in along the way).
However, if you are working from within SMART Submit, you need to find the case first. We recommend the method outlined in this link to find the query.
Once you have found the case with the query:
1. Find the data element with the query: Once in the case record view, all open site queries are marked with a red background and the little Red SQ symbol.
2. View the query tab: To get more information about the query by clicking on the “SQ” icon, which will open a new window containing the details and comments describing the problem.
3. Reply to Query: Once you have reviewed the reason for the query and researched the issue, you can take the following actions after clicking the "Reply Query" button:
Change the data: You can directly edit the original data you entered right in the query ticket. An electronic signature is required for data changes.
Add a comment or screenshot: Whether you edit your original answer or not, you can send a comment back to the originator of the query. You can upload a screenshot to support your comments as well.
Withdraw the case: this removes the case from further analysis (i.e. this is used if you uploaded the wrong case)
4. Site Query reply denied: If you proposed a query resolution, the status of that data element's query will change to "Site Query Reply" with a pink icon and yellow shading. The originator of the query will evaluate your answer and either accept the query response, or reject it, changing it back to "site query open" status. You can view the comment stream by simply clicking on the same icon.
5. Site Query reply accepted: This the query is closed (accepted), then the icon will turn to purple:
Clicking on the icon at anytime will show you the query history.
